Mustafa Ozcelik (Ozcelik) was named a Poet of the Year in Turkey by Suffe Publishers in 1984 and again by Genclik Dergisi (Journal of Youth) in 1997. He was also recognized as Novelist of the Year in juvenile fiction by the Turkish Association of Children's Literature and Children's Artists in 2004.
